HL - Writing Prompt (New Beginnings)
Because I could not leaf for Flowers, They did kindly leaf for me. Flowers, Flowers, every where, Yet not a drop to leaf. The flora is not scarce... The flora is exceptionally extensive. Does the flora make you shiver? Does it? Wildflowers, however hard they try, Will always be herbaceous. Do wildflowers make you shiver? Do they? Just like a bright fruit, it is gladiolus. Gladiolus are clownish. Gladiolus are cockamamie, Gladiolus are foolish, however. The big rose sings like lovely flowers Now conspicuous is just the thing, To get me wondering if the rose is bouffant. I saw the the bright amount of time of my generation destroyed, How I mourned the heyday. Now sparkly is just the thing, To get me wondering if the heyday is nitid. Because I could not stem for Flowers, They did kindly stem for me. Pause to stem, like the flowers do.

HL - Something Different
Something was different this year. “Dear Mother & Father…tch.” Starting off a personal letter like this was too formal and a bit detached. It didn’t feel right. Leimomi brought the decorative stationery paper closer to her face to give it a decent squint. She pinched it between her thumb and index fingers before promptly tearing the draft letter down the middle. What became scraps of paper promptly crushed into a paper ball and tossed rather inattentively towards the open top trash bin in the corner of the room. When was the last time she had called her parents mama and papa? Not since she was a very small girl. That was the long to short version of it. She stretched her arms above her head and exhaled mid-stretch. All the words seemed to flow so easily when she imagined writing a letter in her mind. Right now? She looked at a fresh, blank piece of paper and felt nothing. Would her parents even read her letter if she had done nothing remarkable or really exciting as of lately

Big Spender - Market Day
“...I can’t..breathe.” Leimomi tried to inhale and exhale. She opened her eyes. Breathing in and out was a simple task that was a bit difficult with something weighing down her chest. Her alarm blared insistently, although muffled, as it somehow found itself shoved underneath the pillow behind Leimomi’s head rather than beside her. She stretched her legs and yawned. She must have dozed off. She yawned, semi aware of the companion she forbad from the bed, “Paavo..I think you might be getting fat…” and she had yawned again, “No offens-awh, Paavo!” her imp of a cat had decided to attempt to stick his paw into her mouth. “What’s wrong with you!” She yelled. She used both hands to give Paavo a gentle shove off her lap and onto her lap as she sat up on the bed. She opened her mouth and spat a little. Some cat hairs had gotten into her mouth and they were stuck. She could feel them. “Pwah. pwah. Get off the bed.” She reached for her phone..it had been snoozed accidentally twice. Was she
It all began with the foreboding sounds of Paavo gagging between 3 and 4 am in the morning.

"...no..." Leimomi would shoot out of bed in an instant, turn on the light and rush to throw down a towel to catch the throw up before it landed or splashed on any clean surface of her house. She made it a few times, but more often than not, she was too late and had to start her morning cleaning up litleo barf off of the wooden floors. This morning was particularly more harrowing than the previous mornings.
